Lucy Connolly, the mother and former childminder and Tory councillor’s wife, is set to be released from prison after serving over nine months for a racist tweet posted during the Southport riots last summer. Connolly’s social media post was made after Axel Rudakubana murdered three young girls and attempted to murder 10 others at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class on July 29, which sparked nationwide unrest.
